Lisa A. Ciaccia enjoys peaceful early mornings painting in her private studio. A self-taught artist, Lisa merely states, "A brush and paints mixed into a passion for life, and dabbed onto canvas has been my education; nature has been my teacher. If you silently observe it, nature will give you its secrets; you eventually figure out how to interpret them with a paintbrush."

The second eldest of 4 siblings, Lisa was born in Providence, Rhode Island. Her first love for art was drawing cartoons at the age of 8, and while only dabbling in her creativity occasionally for many years, she finally picked up her brushes again in 2014 and hasn't put them away since.

Lisa holds dual Artist memberships with the Whistler House Museum of Art and Lowell Art Association, and has exhibited work through WHMA for their Member Juried Exhibitions since 2015, as well as the Brush Art Gallery also located in Historic Lowell, Massachusetts;  she is also a proud member of Social Medias, "An Art Movement, Artists Promoting the Arts," the Nashua Area Art Association, and the New Hampshire League of Craftsmen.

In 2021 Lisa was both honored and humbled to have her 4"x 6" illustrative watercolor artwork chosen to be brought aboard the Dragon Spacecraft with Artist and Poet, Dr. Sian "Leo" Proctor, the pilot of the the SpaceX Inspiration4, all civilian crew mission, launched on September 15th, 2021.  The crew spent 3 days orbiting at heights above the International Space Station and the Hubble Telescope while conducting research on the effects of civilians in space.  In her downtime, Dr. Proctor created her art at zero gravity.  Click on the image below to go to Dr. Sian's website, "Space2Inspire".

A multidisciplinary artist, Lisa's focus is Architectural and Life Experience Illustrations using watercolor and archival ink,  Acrylics on canvas, Pyrography & carving decorative gourds, and painting using instant coffee.
